Large Jewelry Box--Black Walnut & Wenge---Extra Large Jewelry Chest

~20" wide x 11" deep x 12.5" ht
~7 - 1.3/8" exterior ht. drawers
~drawers 1-3 have 32-2"x2" spaces
~drawers 4-6 have 12-4"x3" spaces
~drawer 7 is undivided
All Black Walnut from a large log. Entire chest is made from the same board. Wenge accents. Room enough to accommodate many years of earrings, rings, and bracelets acquisitions. Black walnut case and drawers, wenge accents, ash interior.
Really fantastic material. This is not production-mill, steamed walnut. This is old-school, slow dried from small mills in Pennsylvania. They do a fantastic job with it and have consistently great walnut. Truly beautiful boards.
With seven small drawers, it is roomy enough to accommodate decades of earrings, rings, and bracelet acquisitions.
Solid hardwood, handmade jewelry box. This design has been improved and refined since the early 1990s, and has found happy homes throughout the world.
Details include:
~mitered case construction with dovetail splines for strength
~dovetailed solid ash drawer interiors, each drawer individually fitted
~drawers are always consecutive cuts from the same board for consistency
~common species parts are always made from the same board(e.g., walnut case and walnut drawers will be from the same board)
~solid walnut back
~adjustable solid ash dividers--individual lengths of the divider grid can be removed to create larger spaces
~cotton velvet drawer lining
~all interior parts sealed and finished
~finished with shellac and satin acrylic lacquer
